New York: Dayton & Burdick, 1856. Octavo sized hardcover in hardcovers ornately stamped in gilt. All edges gilt. 184 pp. plus one page of ads. Illustrated with full page engravings, frontispiece engraving "View Near Anthony's Nose" (the Hudson River near West Point) and second frontis is a hand colored floral engraving "Tall Eustoma". Most notable article included is "Light and Daguerrotype" by C. Wingate(pp. 164-168). There is also an article on San Francisco by Rev. Isaac M. Sherman with a full page panoramic view of the city. A tight example, very good with dulling to the gilt and scattered foxing, moreso to the plates. Very Good Hardcover (Item ID: GE12667)
