6000 Tons of Gold

Meadville, PA: Flood and Vincent, 1894. First Edition First edition. Octavo in light green cloth stamped in gilt and dark green with design of a giant gilt nugget and scattered green dollar signs. Fictional work, a cautionary tale about a lost tribe of South American natives, the world of finance, the evils of wealth and lots of gold (6000 tons worth). A tight copy, all gilt bright, with light fingering to the cloth; prev. own. sig. and date of 1895 on the first blank. A very nice copy indeed of a title scarce in first edition. Near Fine Cloth (Item ID: F153)
