Interesting chapter on "The Railway and the Steamboat" with three plates including one each of a cross-section of a locomotive and a steamboat. Very good, boards a bit wavy but all gilt quite clear; gift inscr. from a mother to her son dated Dec. 25, 1865 on the first blank; additional contemporary own. name and address front pastedown.
