A tale of mysticism and past lives. The title character begins his existence in ancient Phoenicia and, always bearing the same personality, experiences subsequent lives as a Druid, a Saxon Thane, and English knight under Edward III and a subject of Queen Elizabeth. A tight, generally fine, bright copy, hint of damp at the foot of the spine. In the very scarce printed dust wrapper which has some shallow chipping along the front top edge and fold, , more significant chipping to the head and foot of the spine and loss to the lower corners of the rear panel.
