Published in the wake of the team's stunning upset victory over the Baltimore Colts in Super Bowl III, the story of the New York Jets. The team was born as part of the new AFL in 1960, playing in the Polo Grounds under the name New York Titans. They moved to newly built Shea Stadium for the 1964 season and were renamed the Jets. In January, 1965, they signed quarterback Joe Namath out of the University of Alabama and began their climb under coach Weeb Eubank from also-rans to world champions in the 1968 season, culminating in Super Bowl III.
