Canadian born Hulbert Footner (1879-1944) was a playwright and author of non-fiction and fiction novels, for which he is best remembered. A number of his earliert detective stories were serialzed in Argosy. In the 1930s he introduced a new detective character, Amos Lee Mappin, who solved mysteries set in New York cafe society aided by his secretary and Watson-like sidekick, Fanny Parran. "The Murder That Had Everything' is one of the most difficult to find Footner mystery. Very Good. Item #E22209
