In the original dust jacket, bright, somewhat wavy but no creasing or wear. Memoirs of famed Hollywood gossip columnist. Born Elda Furry in Altoona, Pennsylvania in 1885, she began her career in the movie world as an actress in the silents when they were still being made in Fort Lee, New Jersey. She transitioned into journalism in 1938, covering Hollywood and its stars while wearing her signature elaborate hats.
