The story of Friday Christian, first born son of HMS Bounty mutineer Fletcher Christian and his wife Mauatua, a native Tahitian woman. He was born October 7 (or 14th), 1790. He was also (and later better) known as Thursday October Christian. He was one of two representatives of Pitcairn Island who met with the British when two of their frigates arrived in 1814; he comported himself so well that the British captains decided that a viable colony had been created and thus did not procesute Bounty sailors for mutiny. He died in Tahiti in 1931. Poor. Item #E21884
