Hardcover in dark grey textured paper covered boards, paper spine and front cover labels. 168 pp. A tight, very good example, previous ownership signature front free endpaper, bit of wear at the outer tips and some modest darkening to the spine label and spine strip. Contains "Thirst", "The Web", "Warnings", "Fog", "Recklessness". 1000 copies of the book were produced. The title play, dealing with shipwreck survivors in a lifeboat, was written after O'Neill's release from a tuberculosis sanitorium in late1913 and is thought to have been inspired by the Titanic disaster an the subsequent public hearings.
