(1) engraved frontis showing calf, hog and sheep with numbered sections of the cuts of their meat; engraved first title page featuring engraving of a cow also with numbered sections indication the various cuts of meat; title, engraved on verso with cow and sheep with numbered meat sections; 216 pp. with contents/index. Nine plates (including the aforementioned) , present but bound out of order. Binding well worn and rubbed; scattered foxing throughout the text block; loss to the margin of the frontis engraving not affecting the image; Plate 5 half torn away. Contains "Observations for the Use of the Mistress of A Family" ("...in the variety of female acquirements, though domestic occupations stand not so high in esteem as they formerly did, yet when neglected they produce much human misery...").
