Blue cloth stamped in gilt; 279 pps. with notes on the poets, index of poems and index of first lines. Anthology of early 20th century poems about the South. Authors include Hervey Allen, DuBose Heyward, John Richard Moreland, Cotton Noe, Elizabeth Madox Roberts and the aforementioned Caroline Giltinan who contributes five pieces. A tight copy but with a significant stain to the lower quarter of the front cloth. A newspaper clipping of a 1924 poem by Giltinan is tipped onto the front pastedown and a publisher's promotional bookmark featuring this book laid in. Cloth (Item ID: D6854)
