Collection of poems about the Western pioneers, particularly those of the Pacific Coast, but including pieces on Lake Tahoe, Carson City, etc. A tight copy, cover gilt clear, rubbing and two snags to the spine. Quite an interesting little collection; the author's stated apology was that he was attempting to capture the spirit and flavor of the Western pioneers without great concern for the poetic merit.
