1903 London: W. Butcher & Sons, First edition. Octavo, olive green cloth, lettered and decorated in black and white featuring a lovely woman holding an accordion-style antique camera. 196 pps. with ads front and rear. Text illustrated with photos and drawings; the ads are also illustrated including one which features a tipped on contact print. The work deals with photography using roll, or celluloid, films; included are sections on camera selection, exposure, developing, printing, portraiture and pictorial work. The spine is well sunned although the lettering is still quite distinct; old, repaired chipping to foot of spine, covers lightly soiled. Text block is tight and clean. (Item ID: D447)
