1929 London: Methuen, First edition. Thick quarto of 383 pages in red blindstamped cloth with ornate gilt spine lettering and decorations, pages uncut, index and bibliography, illustrated with diagrams and photo plates, several in full color including a stiking color frontispiece of a 17th century watch by Blaise Foucher. A strong copy, lightly bumped at the foot of the spine, endpapers lightly foxed. A lovley book. (Item ID: D270)
