Hollywood: David Graham Fischer, 1932. Signed, Limited First edition, limited to 1000 numbered copies signed by Clarence Muse. This being George Cukor's copy with his bookplate on the front pastedown. Small quarto, 146 pages bound with ribbon between strikingly illustrated paper covered boards. A novel about black entertainers in the South from St.Louis to New Orleans by an author who was himself a black actor. There are seven full page woodcuts on colored stock as well as many black and white full and partial page woodcuts throughout the text.
