The "New and Improved Edition" of 1882. Good to very good, wear at the extremities, rear free endpaper mostly torn away. Though sequentially paginated here, actually comprised of four reprinted "new and improved" versions of Graham's guides that appeared from the late 1862 to 1882 ("The Outline of Standard Phonography", "Standard Phonographic Reading Exercises", "Standard Phonographic Writing Exercises" , and "Correspondent's List of Word-Signs and Contractions of Standard Phonography".) Phonography as used here was, esssentially, shorthand, in a form different from the Pitman version. Good. Item #GE20471
