Illustrated with photographs and with numerous instructional diagrams. Affixed to the front pastedown is a vintage1930s advertising card for the "Brooklyn Ice Palace--Skating is now in swing". Detailed instructional on figure skating with extensive section on the school figures as well as additional chapters on free skating, competition and test event skating, pairs skating, fours, dancing, carnivals. A tight, very good example with an bit of rubbing at the extremities. Issued without dust jacket. Willy Boeckl was an Austrian-born figure skater whose competitive career took place mostly in the 1920s. He won the World Figure Skating Championship four times and was a silver medalist in both the 1924 and 1928 Winter Olympics.
