A humorous whodunit in which a customer of cabbie Chester Conway gives him a tip on a longshot horse, the horse romps to a win, but when Chester goes to collect his $930 bucks finds his bookie murdered. Chester just wants his money--he doesn't want to solve any murders or expose any racketeers, he just wants to get paid. But there's a very quirt and discrete gang war going on and Chester is always underfoot, annoying both sides. Fine / very good. Item #E37034
