Hardcover in pale yellow cloth lettered and decorated in red and black. vi+ 427 pp. Illustrated with six full page black and white plates by John H. Betts. A tight, internally clean and bright example, offsetting to the endpapers from the jacket flaps. The cloth covered boards show offsetting from the (remarkably) still present printed dust wrapper which duplicates the front cover design. The dust wrapper is completely embrowned , bottom edge of the front panel with very shallow loss about halfway across, shallow chip head edge of spine strip.
