(6 1/2" x 8 1/4") in darkmn ochre cloth lettered and decorated in black and with tipped on front ciover color illustration. Illustrated endpapers. 117 pp. With lovely full color plates and additional drawings in the text by Thelma Cudlipp Grosvenor. Very good, some light even soiling to the cloth; Christmas 1925 gift inscription froma teacher to a student front pastedown. Foxing to the margins of the title page (but, interestingly, not to the facing color plate). A children's classic, a collection of whimsical tales centering around the title character Rainbow Cat. Rainbow lives in Fairyland but becoming bored by his peaceful existance sets off looking for adventures. He arrives at the home of the Cloud-Folk just in time for a grand wedding but the festivites are threatened by the arrival of the angry Thunder Giant. But Rainbow Cat convinces Thunder Gaint that he is a powerful wizard and the wedding can continue. Very Good. Item #E36739
