Cincinnati: Poe & Hitchcock, 1866. Leather_bound. 32mo. (3" x 4 1/2") bound in full original dark brown leather, raised hubs on spine, ornately decorated and lettered in gilt. Original owner's name (Carrie F. Hunt) stamped in gilt on front cover. All edges gilt. 736 pp. with index of verses and index of hymns. light rounding to the corners and very short splits to the top and bottom of the outer front hinge. Entire volume firm in its binding. A lovely mid-19th century pocket hymn book, obviously presented as a gift to Carrie Hunt. It contains over 1100 hymn and doxology texts. Very Good. Item #E35098
