Text of the short story by Stephen King and illustrations by conceptual artist and collagist Barbara Kruger. The story is about an elderly man who is nearing death, who takes his grandson up a hill behind his house, where he gives the boy his pocket watch. He tells the boy about the "nature of time" and that, as one grows older, time moves faster and faster, slipping away in great chucks unless you hold tightly on to it. Time is the pretty pony, one with a wicked heart. King included the story in the 1993 collection of short stories "Nightmares and Deamscapes" Fine. Item #E33834
