Designed by Chance Vought, the prototype of the aircraft flew in 1955, achieving supersonic speeds on its first floght. By March, 1957, F8-As were rolling off producion lines at the rate of eight per month. Eventually the Crusader fighter would equip 36 Navy and Marine Corps squadrons. Fine. Item #E32410
