In the very scarce original dust jacket, illustrated with the same design as the book cover; shallow chipping at the foot of the spine and three short, closed tears (two at the top edge, one at the bottom edge. Burnett wrote two series of books for young readers set in the small town of Merryvale--"The Merryvale Boys" and "The Merryvale Girls".
