Generally fine, a mere touch of soiling to the spine strip. Collection of Maclafferty's poetry. This copy from the personal library of Pulitzer Prize-winning editorial cartoonist and author Lute Pease. Pease has written a long manuscript notation on the front free endpaper: "from MacLafferty/ My friend who wrote:/ 'The City Loved Around The World" page 58/ With Whitaker we called onJoaquin Miller one summer evening in So. Oakland and helped get in his crop of hay/ Miller--He called me "Alaska Lute" (those dear old days!)" Liad in are a newspaper clipping concerning the sale of Pease's personal effcts five years after his death, and a 1915 WWI-related Pease cartoon clipped from a Newark, NJ newspaper. Fine.
