Munich: Franz Eher Nachs, 1941. Hardcover. Both volumes in one. Text in original German. A tight, very good copy.Hardcover in navy blue cloth with spine lettered in gilt and gilt insignia front cover. Copyright page carries the information "Band I 1925" and "Band II 1927" and also states what appears to be the number of copies ("exemplares") in print at 9,890,000. Frontispiece photographic portrait of Adolph Hitler . 781 pp. plus one page publisher's ads at rear. Accompanying this volume is a small archive of related material, apparently from a World War I veteran who was living in Berlin at the time of this publication. It consists of: a 16-page pamphlet titled "Der Lebensweg des Fuhrers" cheaply produced and quite brittle with soem separation to the folds; a small square portrait of Hitler apparently cut for a publication; a small booklet; a two-page (4 sides) handwritten letter in bold blue ink dated 8 February 1944 (we don't have a full translation but apparently the writer is expressing exhaustion and low morale and the closing signature is "Heil Hitler!" and the author's name; No. 5 (of 20) in the series of small (2" x 2 1/2") booklets "Tag der Wehrmacht" featuring notable German officers; three of what appear to be train ticket stubs or admission ticket stubs, 1 1/2" x 4 " on thin paper, all date stamped in 1944, from the Munich "Hauptstadt Der Bewegung", a large meeting of the Nazi propaganda machine; an automobile travel booklet with lines for destinations, milage, etc with pages dated from 1939 to 1941; a bank book with hand entries dated from 1944 forward; a few personal family leterrs and envelopes with 1944 postmark (kindly note---we don't read or speak German so we are unable to offer any further translations. Please view the photos.). Very Good. Item #E27962
