Early reissue carrying only the original 1903 and the "New Edition Published March, 1911" statement on copyright page. A tight, fine copy, Christmas 1922 owbership signature front free endpaper. In a bright example of the original dust jacket woth two short closed tears top edge of the front panel. One of Bell's more popular works, a novel with Christian themes (Wright had been a minister before turing to writing) about a young man who moves to the American midwest after his parents die, believing that "Christians won't let me starve".
