The wartime diary of retired Major General Charles Bond of his days during World War II with the famed "Flying Tigers" (offically the American Volunteer Group) that fought in the skies over Burma and China against Japanese aggression before offical involvement by the United States. Bond was an ace pilot in many air battles including the defense of Rangoon, the raid on Chiang Mai, and battles over central China. He scored nine aerial victories, was shot down twice and was awarded two medals by the Chinese.
