"The Dilettante Series, I". 80 pp. Two-page transposable frontis portrait of Poe. With additional full page plate portraits of Poe at various times in his life. Very good, spine a bit darkened and a bit of wear to the extremities. The front free endpaper bears the date and place "Baltimore, Md./ January 1911" with a small inked design as well as a presentation inscription from a person to Sydney Landon, and a small Poe-related newspaper clipping. Landon's bookplate is affixed to the verso of the ffep. Laid in is an envelope with the ink inscription, "Leaves from the Grave of Edgar Allan Poe/ Baltimore Md./ Sept 1911" with the actual leaves folding into a piece of blue paper as well as a short handwritten note, Also laid in is an envelope circa 1934 imprinted "The Rose Covered Cottage of Edgar Allan Poe In Philadelphia/ 530 No. 7th Street" in which is a set of seven unused postcards featuring drawings of Poe, Mary Poe Clemm, and Virginia his "child bride" as well as interiors and exteriors of the cottage.
