Lead singer and songwriter of the band Queen, Freddie Mercury was known for flamboyant stage personality, four-octave vocal range, and influencing the artistic direction of the band. In 1991at age of just 45, he became the first major rock star to die of AIDS. He was posthumously elected to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2001 as a member of Queen. His biography was made into a major motion picture, Bohemian Rhapsody" in 2018 with the actor portraying him, Rami Malek, winning the Academy Award. This particular book is very difficult to find in the aftermarket with most of the few copies available being offered in Europe.
