In orifginal dust jacket, about very good, wear at the extremities and couple tiny peel spots front panel. Leonard Burt (1892-1983) was a British police officer who, over the course of his many decades with Scotland Yard, was involved with some of the most famous cases of the times. He was the man who escorted "Lord Haw-Haw" (Nazi collaborator William Joyce) back to England to face treason charges; he brough the "atom spies" Nunn May and Fuchs to justice. He rose from being an ordinary London bobby to Commander of the Special Branch. Near Fine / very good. Item #E23598
