Hardcover in light tan cloth decorated in white, green and blue, spine lettered in gilt. 297 pp. plus 4 pp. list of other works by Oppenheim. Illustrations by Alec Ball. Very good, modest rubbing to the front cover decoration, some rounding to the extremities. A bachelor returns home to find a young woman rifling his desk. She was in the wrong apartment, intending to enter the one above. In a few hours, she returns looking faint. The pair go downstairs to find a cab, find one at the door ---but alos find the strangled body of the upstairs neighbor within. Very Good. Item #E23576
