Skylab: A Guidebook. Leland F. Belew, Ernst Stuhlinger.

Skylab: A Guidebook

Washington DC: NASA, 1973. Paperback. Paperback. Very good with light evidence of use. Issued by NASA, a guidebook to the legendary Skylab, the first manned United States space station. Launched in 1973, it was manned by three separate three-man crews for 24 weeks between May, 1973 and February, 1974. It was used as an orbital workshop, solor and earth observatory, and the site of hundreds of experiments. Since the Space Shuttle was not available for retreival until the 1980s, Skylab burned up in the Earth's atmosphere when its orbit decayed past the critical point in 1979. Very Good. Item #E23361
