Octavo in royal blue cloth with spine lettered in gilt and gilt school seal front board. 238 pp. A tight, bright example, small narrow stain front cloth and dime-sized spot rear cloth. The front free endpaper beasr a gilt inscription to a woman on her 98th birthday. The School of St Agnes in Albany, New York, was founded in 1870 as "...a school for girls, which, while furnishing all the best in intellectual education and womanly accomplishments, would combine them with religious instruction and training...". It's founder was the Rt Rev. William Doane, the Bishop of Albany, and his addresses to the first ninteen graduating classes are printed here. Very Good. Item #E20434
