Slim 12mo. in original full tree calf with gilt lettered spine label, binding in poor condition. 19th century bookplate front pastedown, 1805 ownership signature second blank. 72 pp. including notes on the text at rear. Interior generally clean though occasional embrowned and light scattered foxing. Final line of text followed by the printed date October 3, 1801. A descriptive poem written in imitation of Goldsmith's "Deserted Village" and thought to be autobiographical as Holloway grew up as an orphan in a rural village. He has been called "a labouring class poet" Good. Item #E18854
