Germany Reborn

London: Elkin Mathews & Marrot, 1934. First edition. Hardcover. First edition (stated). Hardcover in red cloth lettered in black. 160 pp.Frontispiece photographic portrait of the author in uniform. Very good, slightly cocked and with scattered foxing, mainly non the frist few and final few pages. No dust jacket. Work of early Nazi propaganda in which Goering, already one of Adolf Hitler's top henchmen, presents his laudator on the leader and views on the new German nationalism that led to Hitler's elevation to the chancellorship of the county a few months before the publicatioon of this book. Goering takes on the Marxists, Communists, old Imperialists, Prussians and, of course, the Jews. Among other rants, he argues for the re-establishment of a strong German air force (he had been a WWI fighter pilot and would go on to command the Luftwaffe) and defends the establishment and practices of the Gestapo secret police force. Very Good. Item #E14573B
