Completed in full by Alsberg noting his profession as "chemist" four lines of "Notable facts in his career", a full page of remarks listing his positions held and his professional associations. Signed in full with address given as Stanford University, Calif. and dated Aug. 10, 1922. Light mailing folds. Carl Alsberg (1877-1940) was a promient American chemist and the second commissioner of the Food and Drug Administration (then known as the Bureau of Chemistry) appointed by Taft in 1912.
