INSCRIBED BY THE AUTHOR "Miss Susie Miller/ fr. her cousin/ The author/ Jan. 31, 1878/ Brklyn". Frontis engraving to the ornamental gate to Greenwood Cemetery; additionally illustrated with full page engravings at the start of each of the longer pieces, other partial page engravings and ornate capitals. Scarce collection of verse printed in Brooklyn, where the famed cemetery of the title poem is located. Other pieces include "Princeton", "The Hudson", "Christ", "The Burning of the Brooklyn Theatre", etc. A fine, bright copy with just a touch of wear at the extrems, all gilt still bright.
