A tight example with cloth well soiled as usual, light tidemarking to the two front blanks, faintly to title page (which has some offsetting), and along top margin of text block. Scattered foxing as usual. 24mo - over 5" - 5¾" tall.

Royal blue cloth lettered in gilt and decorated in black. xiv+284 pp. 20 pages of ads (some illusrated with engravings) on blue paper at front and 20 at rear. Folding map in pocket ar rear. With folding maps of the major cities, additional maps integral and small steel engravings in the text. A tight, internally clean example, all cover gilt bright and with minor spotting along the front edge of the front cover. A very nice example indeed.

Royal blue cloth lettered in gilt and decorated in black. xiv+sequential pagination 277- 556. with index, railway and steamboat fare table plus 19 pp. section of brief descriptions of railroads, hotels, popular tourist sites. 20 pp. at front printed on blue-tinted stock and featuring ads with steel engravings of famous hotels, and with another 20-page section at rear. With folding maps and plans of cities, additional maps intedgral and small engravings in the text. (The map of San Francisco at p. 382 was unevenly folded causing the edge to extend a bit beyond the text block). A tight, bright, fine example with minimal rubbing at the spine ends; two small and one larger splashes rear cover. Withal, the nicest copy of one of these guides we have encountered.
