Extensive preface essay followed by roster of officers, , warranted, appointed and non-commissioned officers and enlisted men who served in the American Revolution from Kittery and Eliot, Maine. Each entry contains as much information as is avaialble on each participant and can include rank, date of enlistment, historical and family background, details of actions and deployments, date of death, etc. The book does not bear a publication date but there is an old ink notation "August, 1901" beneath the publisher's imprint on the title page.
