First Quarto-sized in paper covered boards stamped in gilt and black with embossed lettering and depiction of an artillery carriage. 95 pps. with patterned endpapers, illustrated with small line drawiings and with numerous sepia monochrome photographs. Story of the company's manufacturing activities during the First World War, largely in the area of munitions and artillery production. Engraved letter from company president laid in. A fine, bright example , couple of very light, small stains front board. With the original glassine dust wrapper laid in. Also laid in is a quarto-sized brochure in printed wrappers titled "American Car and Foundry Company's War Activities" issued for the American Railroad Association Section III Mechanical Convention held at Atlantic City in June, 1919. String bound, 10 pps. illustrated with photos of various mortars, rail rolling stock (some painetd in camoflage), and artillery caissons and carriages. In clean, fine condition with a tint edge tear.
