First Royal octavo sized in dark brown cloth with spine lettering gilt and gilt embossed Seal of The City of Boston on front cover. 144 pp. with frontispiece engraving of a view of the monument, individual illustrations of the five statues incorporated in the design and four mezzo-relievos. INSCRIBED ON THE FIRST BLANK: "Edward W. Kinsley/ from his friend/ C.G. Atwood". Cornelius G. Atwood was lieutenant of the company of 72 rifles attached to Devins' Battalion. Contains history, addresses, roster of surviving soldiers and officers participating in the parade. etc. Wear to the spine ends and rubbing to the gutter edges and tips, some shelf wear, a few scuffs to the rear cloth.
